I was born on a small island of Ramsö, Nagu/Nauvo 25 December, 1960. My family background comes from the archipelago of Turku. My father hoped that I would become a sailor but I decided to go to the university to study political and social science and international law.
The Left Alliance has been my choice from the very beginning of the party and I have been a member of the Board of the Alliance. I have also been a member of the City Council of Turku for 10 years. At the moment I am a member of the local Council of Piikkiö where I live nowadays.
I am the chairman of the Board of the South-West Finland Left Alliance since 1999. In the election 2003 I got 2337 votes and became as second substitute for the parliament.
For me the most important issues are rightfulness, democracy, environment, equal rights and cultural affairs.
Spending most of my leisure time on my home island I cultivate vegetables and apples. Though for me it is the most beautiful place in the world it makes me sad to know that the bad condition of the Baltic Sea is getting worse all the time. Therefore it is as important to struggle for better environment as human rights and rightfulness.
